What is Microneedling?
Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. Microneedling may also be combined with topical treatments like Hylauronic Acid, Human Growth Factor Serums,  or PRP (platelet rich plasma).

How long does it last?

Micro-needling(aka Collagen Induction Therapy) is great for stimulating collagen and overall rejuvenation of the skin(as is laser resurfacing), but given the skin continues to age, we must continue to rejuvenate AND MAINTAIN the desired results.

A series of 3-6 micro-needling treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended to achieve an optimal result.  Once you have completed your series, your clinician can determine what maintenance regimen will best suit you based on your overall skin care goals. It most likely will include micro-needling maintenance treatments at some point, but if you continue to maintain an effective home care regimen, in addition to, regular skin care treatments you should be “sitting pretty,” for 6 months to a year before you need a maintenance treatment.

Are there side effects?

The side effects are minimal and it is a painless procedure. There will be initial redness and inflammation immediately following the treatment but those effects typical subside shorty after the procedure. Adding Omni’s Core Recovery Serum and Amnio Glide with greatly help these side effects.
