Base Microneedling Atlanta GA

Base Microneedling

Our Base Microneedling is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy. It uses the body's natural response to controlled dermal injury. An automated pen is used to create microperforations in the upper dermal layer. This therapy triggers a natural skin repair mechanism to create new collagen and elastin, significantly improving the texture and tone of skin.

Additionally, this treatment improves the skin's ability to absorb topical preparations such as hyaluronic acid, which moisturizes skin. The results include more firm and elastic skin, pores with a smaller appearance, notable reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, and a more overall uniform complexion.

Treatment Benefits

Microneedling softens wrinkles and fine lines, increases collagen, improves scars, reduces unwanted pigment, improves pore size and skin texture, improves the appearance of stretch marks, improves effectiveness and penetration of active ingredients in topical preparations and more!

What is Amniotic Membrane?

Amniotic membrane is the tissue that protects a developing baby in the womb. It provides a barrier between the mother and baby that grows as the baby grows. The membrane contains many nutritive components called "growth factors" that support development of soft tissue.

How Do Growth Factors Promote Healing?

The 50+ human growth factors and other cellular chemicals that are found in amniotic tissue are nature's way of signaling new cells to surround an injury, to replicate and to produce healthy, new cells. Also, they regulate existing, healthy cells to remodel and create powerful, natural agents that advance the overall quality of healing.

Amniotic Membrane Safety

Base Microneedling Milton GA

Amniotic membrane is donated by healthy, consenting mothers undergoing scheduled deliveries by Caesarean section. The amniotic membrane is typically discarded as medical waste after childbirth. The recovery of the amniotic membrane does not affect the baby, mother, nor the delivery; therefore, the donation process does not share ethical concerns associated with embryonic tissue. Both the mother and fetal tissue are tested for infectious disease, similar to the testing done for blood donations. All steps to clean and preserve the tissue are validated and are in compliance with FDA and AATB guidelines.

Microneedling with Radio Frequency

Microneedling with Radio Frequency is FDA-cleared for your safety. This minimally-invasive treatment stimulates the natural production of collagen and is shown to be effective in alleviating facial wrinkles, fine lines, and tightening and toning the face and neck. Using bi-polar RF energy and minimally invasive microneedles, the treatment drives heat deep within the skin layers. Heat stimulates and remodels collagen and prompts the elastin cells to regenerate. Microneedling with RF requires little to no downtime and results in a skin surface that is firmer, smoother, and more even.

What are collagen and elastin, and what are their cosmetic benefits?

Collagen and elastin are essential proteins that play a crucial role in maintaining the skin's structure and elasticity. Collagen provides strength and firmness to the skin. It acts as the scaffolding that keeps the skin plump and resilient. As we age, collagen production naturally decreases, leading to wrinkles, sagging, and a loss of skin elasticity. Elastin allows the skin to return to its original shape after stretching or contracting. It gives the skin its ability to bounce back, maintaining flexibility and smoothness.

Cosmetic benefits of these proteins include:

  • Improved skin firmness: Higher levels of collagen and elastin contribute to firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
  • Reduced wrinkles and fine lines: Enhanced collagen and elastin can diminish the appearance of aging signs.
  • Enhanced skin texture: These proteins help achieve smoother and more even skin surfaces.

Microneedling stimulates the skin’s natural healing processes, which in turn boosts the production of collagen and elastin.

What skin conditions can microneedling improve?

Microneedling is a versatile cosmetic procedure that can address a variety of skin concerns, including:

  • Fine lines + wrinkles: Reduces the appearance of aging signs by promoting collagen and elastin production.
  • Acne scars: Helps to smooth out and diminish the visibility of acne-related scarring.
  • Stretch marks: Improves the texture and color of stretch marks on various parts of the body.
  • Hyperpigmentation: Evens out skin tone by reducing dark spots and discoloration.
  • Large pores: Minimizes the size of pores, resulting in a smoother skin surface.
  • Skin tone & texture: Enhances overall skin smoothness and uniformity.
  • Rosacea and redness: Can help alleviate redness and improve the appearance of rosacea-affected skin.
  • Sagging skin: Firms and tightens loose or sagging skin areas, such as the cheeks, jawline, and neck.

By targeting these specific issues, microneedling can significantly enhance the overall appearance and health of your skin.

How should you care for your skin following microneedling treatment?

Apply a gentle, hydrating serum or moisturizer to soothe the skin and maintain moisture levels. Protect your skin from the sun by wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Sun exposure can cause irritation and hyperpigmentation post-treatment.

Opt for mild, non-irritating cleansers and avoid products containing harsh chemicals, retinoids, or exfoliants for a few days after the procedure. Allow your skin to heal naturally without picking at any scabs or peeling skin, which can lead to scarring or infections.

Full post-recovery instructions will be given after treatment.

How much does microneedling cost?

Cost may vary based on treatment type and treatment area(s).

  • Microneedling: starts at $300
  • Microneedling with amnioglide: starts at $495
  • RF Microneedling: starts at 795
