Injectable Treatments
Our injectable treatments include services like Botox (or other neuromodulators), dermal fillers, and more.
Neuromodulators (like Botox) Pre and Post Care
Neuromodulators (like Botox)
→ Pre Care:

Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, as it may increase the risk of bleeding and bruising.

Discontinue anti-inflammatory and blood-thinning medications or supplements for two (2) weeks before treatment, *if approved by your physician*.

These include: Aspirin, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, Garlic, Feverfew, St. John’s Wort, Omega-3 Fish Oil, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDs. These products can increase the likelihood of bruising or swelling after injections.
- Acetaminophen is okay.

Schedule your appointment at least two (2) weeks before any special event (such as a wedding or vacation) to allow time for healing and to minimize visible swelling or bruising.

Discontinue Retin-A (tretinoin) two (2) days before and two (2) days after treatment.

If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex), please consult your physician for an antiviral prescription before treatment.

Eat a balanced meal before your appointment. This helps reduce the risk of lightheadedness during treatment.
- Taking arnica and/or bromelain ahead of your visit may decrease your risk of bleeding/bruising.

Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at injection sites is normal and usually resolves within a few minutes to a few days.

Discontinue use of retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, Differin, etc.), alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, benzoyl peroxide, and other exfoliating products for 7 days prior.

Do not use hair removal methods (waxing, depilatory creams, electrolysis, laser hair removal) on the treatment area for 2 weeks prior.

Inform your provider of any recent chemical peels, laser treatments, or isotretinoin (Accutane) use within the past 6–12 months.
